1. In short
RecipeRx stores the recipes and plans you create so you can use them on your phone and restore them on a new one. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use analytics or advertising tools in the app. This policy applies to RecipeRx, made by ToolNiche ("we", "us").
2. What we collect
- Account: your email address, and your name if Apple or Google shares it when you sign in. Your account also has an internal user ID.
- Your content: recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, cookbooks, tags, notes and comments you create, and the cooking history you log.
- Health preferences: the health mode you choose (Renal, Low-FODMAP, PCOS or Diabetes), your allergens, your dietary targets, and any symptom logs you enter. We treat this as sensitive.
- Messages to us: anything you send through Settings → Feedback or by email, with your app version.
- Purchases: whether you have RecipeRx Plus (monthly, annual or lifetime) and when it renews. We never see your card or Apple payment details.
We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifier.
3. How we use it
To run the app: sign you in, back up and restore your data, import recipes, score recipes against your health settings, suggest swaps and plan meals. To check your Plus subscription and to answer your questions. To keep the service safe and fix problems. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. AI processing
When you import a recipe (from a link, pasted text, a photo or a video) or ask for swaps or a meal plan, the content you chose to send is processed by Google Gemini, a third-party AI service from Google, so we can return the result. For swaps this includes the health targets and allergens needed to make a suitable suggestion. A photo or page you scan is processed to read it and is not kept as a photo in your account. We use the Gemini API under Google's paid terms, under which Google does not use this content to train or improve its products. RecipeRx does not create images with AI.
5. Who else handles data
We share only what is needed with providers that run the service for us:
- Hosting and database providers that store your account and backup.
- Apple and Google, when you choose to sign in with them.
- RevenueCat, which manages subscriptions. It receives your user ID and your purchase history.
- Google (Gemini API), the third-party AI service described in section 4.
- The USDA FoodData Central database, which receives ingredient names to look up nutrition. It receives no personal information.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for advertising.
6. Health information
Health settings and symptom logs are used only to score recipes and make suggestions for you. RecipeRx shows estimates based on public food data and is not medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat or replace your doctor or dietitian. Always follow your care team's guidance.
7. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays in your account until you delete it. You can edit or remove items in the app, export a care-team PDF, and delete your account in Settings → Account, which removes your account, your sign-in and the data we hold for it. Some records, such as proof of a purchase, may be kept by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies. For anything you cannot do in the app, write to
privacy@toolniche.com and we will reply within 30 days.
8. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and access to the service is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us if you suspect a problem.
9. Children
RecipeRx is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to withdraw consent, or to complain to your data protection authority. Contact

11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
